Summer fun!

Riley playing in the sand at the beach!

Aiden showing his winning picks at the horse races. We took the boys to see the ostrich and camel races at Canterbury Downs a couple weekends ago. We let them pick who they thought would win the horse races. In the first race...Aiden picked #2 because he liked the name. His horse was not even picked as a choice to win. Aiden was sooo excited when his horse came in FIRST place.

One night Aiden was stalling on going to bed. He was talking to me while I was doing some last minute things. This picture was taken at 11:30 p.m.! How could I resist letting this cutie stay up and talk to me??? This is how he was looking at me in the kitchen!

Riley and Aiden at the beach!

I really haven't posted a lot this summer because we have been so busy. I just finished teaching summer school and I have had a relaxing last couple of days. We have gone to the beach this summer. We have also played with our cousin Colton a lot! We have been to the park, and we have swam a lot. Today we went and got library passes. Riley couldn't decide what 3 books he wanted to pick out because there were so many choices and Aiden couldn't find anything he wanted in because there weren't any books to choose from! Funny how that works out! Today we also biked a lot. Riley is getting really good at doing tricks. Aiden had me take his training wheels off his bike and was pretty nervous. He brought me the pliers and asked if I thought that I could put them back on? How funny. Its amazing how different the boys are. Riley jumps into everything he does and has so much determination when trying new things. Aiden is very apprehensive about everything and would rather watch other people do things. Riley is excited that he will be going to my school next year. I am excited that I get to have him come with me as well. I will be teaching first grade and he will be in first grade in a room next to me. Aiden will turn 5 in a few weeks and missed the kindergarten deadline. I think this is going to be a good thing for him. He is not ready to go yet. He really doesn't have the desire to go yet.

Over the next few weeks we plan on playing at home. We have been sleeping in...until after 9 every morning. My sister is in Romania volunteering in an orphanage...and the boys miss her. I have workshops the end of August...and then start the school year after labor day. I was also subpoenaed to testify in court in the beginning of September for the accident that I witnessed in February. I hope that I am not needed and that it doesn't go to trial! I really am not looking forward to reliving those memories that took so long to get over!

I will try to post more pictures soon! I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer!
