It's been a while since we last did an update. So...I'll fill you in on what has been happening here. The boys have been doing pretty well. In the beginning of January, Aiden was in the ER on two separate occasions. We stayed home with him the first full week in January. He had a high fever which led to some asthma/breathing problems. Riley also had an ear infection again at that time. He had a check-up around the 10th and his ear still wasn't cleared up. So...he was on another round of antibiodics. He had a CAT scan on the 21st. This showed that his adnoids and tonsils looked good. He is not going to have them removed. He is going to have tubes put in his ears though...hopefully this will help with the ear infections. We are waiting to hear when we can schedule this for.
Last week was so cold, we really didn't take the boys anywhere. We stayed nice and warm in the house. Finally toward the end of the week it got nicer. We took the boys to EP center playland on Thursday. On Saturday, Aunt Becca and Rachel took the boys to Chuckie Cheese. On Sunday we took them to Lion's Park. They went sledding and had so much fun. Riley finally got to use his snowboard for the first time. A lady at the park gave us some tips on how to snowboard and he was actually doing pretty well. (Pictures will be coming later.)
Last night we learned that we probably over did it. Riley started showing signs that he was getting croup again. His lymph nodes are really swollen and he was barking like a seal last night. Luckily our pedetrican filled a perscription over the phone for us tonight in case in gets really bad. As we were getting ready for bed, Aiden said that his head hurt really bad. I took his temp and he has another high fever. We gave him some Tylenol and he was asleep within minutes. Poor thing. He asked if he was going to be as sick as he was last time. I really hope not! I am hoping that whatever they caught this time passes at lot more quickly than last time! It seems as if they are always sick!
I'm hoping that with Riley getting tubes, things will be better! I am also hoping that Aiden gets better soon! We'll keep you posted!
